Here at Benefit Connections, we are your local Central Pennsylvania insurance experts dedicated to helping you understand and shop your Medicare options based on your personal needs.

We offer a wide selection of Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, and Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans. We do not offer every plan available in your area. We offer Medicare plans in Pennsylvania, but not in all service areas. Currently we represent up to 9 different organizations which offer up to 87 products, depending on your service area. Any information we provide is limited to the plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Program to get information on all of your options.

The Parts of Medicare

Medicare Part A is inpatient and hospital insurance. Part A coverage applies to:

  • Inpatient hospital care
  • Skilled nursing care
  • Nursing home care
  • Hospice care
  • Some home health care

Medicare Part B is outpatient medical insurance. Part B coverage applies to:

  • Outpatient services
  • Preventative care
  • Medically necessary services
  • Durable medical equipment

Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage) are privately managed, federally approved Medicare plans. Part C plans combine the benefits of Part A and B into one plan and may also include:

  • PPO or HMO style plans
  • Copays
  • Out-of-pocket maximums
  • Additional benefits (dental, vision, hearing, over-the-counter items, etc.)

Medicare Part D plans provide beneficiaries with privately managed, federally approved prescription drug coverage. Medicare Part A and B don’t offer prescription drug coverage, so Part D helps:

  • Different plan & pharmacy options
  • Deductibles
  • Copays
  • Before, During, and After Gap pricing
